Street Dance is a relatively new addition to the timetable. It is very much the dance craze of the moment due to dance videos, television programmes and the current success of street dance groups such as Diversity who competed in and won ‘Britains Got Talent 2009’.

Students are taught street dance techniques encompassing Hip Hop, Lockin’, Poppin’, Breakin’ and Wavin’. Classes are taught by Rachel Palmer, who has developed her street dance skills through Robert Hylton’s training programme Skills and Drills and lockin’ teacher Fred the Realness Folkes.

Chart and hip hop music is used for classes, it is a great, fun, funky and energetic class.

The school runs dance classes in the Cecchetti method of ISTD Classical Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Acro and Street Dance.
Dance classes are run 6 days a week from the Dance Studios in the Farnham Maltings, St Joan’s Centre, Farnham Methodist Church Hall and St Polycarp’s Catholic School in Surrey. Children’s classes are offered for children from ages of 2 years up to advanced student level. We also run Adult Tap and Adult Ballet classes.
