Easter Extravaganza at Farnham Community Farm on Monday, 18 April from 11:00-16:00.
This year Farnham Community Farm is hosting an Easter open day, welcoming members of the community as well as their volunteers and veg bag subscribers to come and experience their lovely veg growing site in Runfold.
This event is for both children and adults, and will include:
EASTER EGG HUNT
EGG DYEING WITH NATURAL MATERIALS
COOKIE DECORATING
BEE HIVE TOURS / HONEY TASTING WITH ERICA THE BEEKEEPER
PLANT AND TAKE HOME YOUR OWN SEEDS
LEARN ABOUT THE FARM AND WHAT THEY GROW, SEASONALLY AND ORGANICALLY
Entry is ticketed with 'donate what you feel' pricing starting at £1. They are suggesting £3 for individuals, with a family discount, but you have the option to pay less if that's appropriate or more if you'd like to help them out with their recent storm damage costs. Entry allows participation in all the activities on the day.
They'll have some delicious home cooked lunch, drinks and cakes available too, including some goodies cooked in our very own pizza oven!
There is parking in the nearby walkers car park, or at the start of Tongham Road just before you get to the Packhouse shop. Both are approx a 5 minute walk. There is limited parking on the farm itself - please email if you need a space. For directions to the farm and the parking areas see their website.
Having been hit badly by Storm Eunice, the farm is faced with some unexpected high costs this year. They have been hesitant to crowdfund as they know their members are hugely supportive of what they do anyway, but events like these will help them to cover their costs AND have an uplifting day seeing all of you!
Book tickets here.
