Bird Watching Walk: Field Farm is on Saturday 5th February from 10:30am - 12:30pm.
Join the Countryside Education Trust at Field Farm for a magnificent chance to take part in the Big Farmland Bird Count. Surrounded by the stunning landscape of the South Downs, this guided walk will lead you through farmland and woodland habitat to provide ample opportunity for spotting game and songbirds.
The session will begin with an introduction to the farm and the bird species you might see there, so you can familiarise yourself with the farmland bird ID guide. Don’t worry – you don’t have to be a birding expert to take part! Should you need, their knowledgeable leaders will be there to help with species identification.
A record sheet will be provided to take down species numbers during the 30 minute count, and they will later upload the data online. They are fortunate to have 200 acres of beautiful countryside to explore, where they’re sure their wildlife trail will offer a wonderfully bio-diverse experience. They’ll top off the session with tea and a chat in our cosy, timber-framed barn.
If you are a nature lover who’d like to enjoy glorious scenery with like-minded people, then this is the walk for you!
Cost is £5 per person.
Suitable for adults and children aged 8+
